Jarvie and Jones were commissioned to capture individual headshots of Hillhouse's Board of Directors. Instead of traditional formal poses, the brief for the shoot was to capture professional images of each Director which were more natural and relaxed but still professional at the same time. By providing gentle direction to the Directors we helped them feel at ease and confident during the photoshoot and this guidance ensured that the poses remained natural while still conveying professionalism which also helped them feel more comfortable in front of the camera resulting in images that feel authentic and approachable. By using a combination of natural light and studio lighting, we were able to achieve the desired look for the photoshoot. This approach allowed for flexibility in lighting control while still maintaining a natural aesthetic. We selected a setting that allowed for lovely natural light which was crucial for creating the desired atmosphere and by incorporating elements of the chosen setting into the photos adds depth and context, further enhancing the overall feel of the images.
